These terms govern use of this website, which is operated by Americans for Accountability, an independent expenditure-only political committee registered with the Federal Election Commission.
Use of the site
You may read and share the material on this site for personal, non-commercial purposes, and news organizations may quote it with attribution. You may not use the site in a way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation, or that misrepresents your identity or affiliation. Automated submissions to the site’s forms are prohibited.
Contributions
Online contributions, when open, are completed on PayPal’s site under PayPal’s own terms. Before you are sent to PayPal, the Donate page asks for the contributor information federal law requires the committee to report and for confirmation that you are eligible to contribute. The contribution rules are stated on that page. By contributing you confirm that the information you provided is accurate and that you meet those requirements. Contributions are not tax deductible. Questions about a contribution, including refund requests, go to the address on the Contact page.
Published material and sources
The committee identifies the public records on which its published material relies and labels what a record shows separately from the committee’s own analysis and opinion. The committee has a stated political objective and does not claim to be neutral. If you believe something published here is inaccurate, write to the correction address on the Contact page. The committee has not yet adopted a formal corrections policy; its current practice is described on the Transparency page.
Intellectual property
Text, design, the committee’s marks, and original video on this site belong to Americans for Accountability unless otherwise noted. Public records cited in the committee’s material belong to their respective sources. Logo files on the Press page may be used to identify the committee in coverage and may not be altered or used to imply endorsement.
Third-party sites and services
This site links to third-party sites, including PayPal and government records, and uses third-party services to deliver email, protect forms, and serve the site. The committee is not responsible for their content or practices.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. The committee makes reasonable efforts to keep it accurate but does not guarantee that it is free of errors or interruptions.
